New Wave Marine is a commercial ship repair and maintenance company operating from Mandra Attikis, Greece. Owner-led by engineers with twenty-five years on the docks, we serve operators who measure us in vessels returned to service, not invoices issued.
New Wave Marine was founded by engineers who came up through the Piraeus shipyards in an era when craftsmanship was the only standard available. Twenty-five years later, the philosophy hasn't moved. Every repair we deliver is one we'd be willing to put our own names on — because, in fact, we already do.
We are deliberately a working company, not a brokerage. Our owners spend their days on board the vessels we service, not in offices. When a chief engineer needs a straight answer about a steering gear or a generator at three in the morning, they speak to someone who has lifted the parts before.
From our base in Mandra Attikis we serve commercial operators across the Aegean and wider Mediterranean — bulk carriers, tankers, ferries, RO/RO vessels, and the working ships that quietly keep the region moving.
We work alongside class societies, owners' representatives, and crew to deliver scopes ranging from running repairs to major machinery overhauls. All work is documented, traceable, and delivered to the standard your flag and class require.
Overhauls of two and four-stroke diesel propulsion plants, auxiliary generators, and associated systems. Crankshaft work, liner renewals, top-end and bottom-end repairs.
Fuel, lube oil, hydraulic, ballast, bilge, fire and cooling water systems. Pipe fabrication and renewal in carbon steel, stainless, copper-nickel and GRE.
Cranes, derricks, hatch covers, mooring winches, windlasses, and steering gear. Hydraulic system rebuilds, load testing and certification.
24-hour response for vessels at anchor, in port, or transiting Greek waters. Mobile teams dispatched with parts, tools, and the experience to make the right call quickly.
Commercial vessels do not have time for ambiguity. Our project workflow is built around predictability — clear scope, honest pricing, and tight communication from inquiry through delivery.
We attend the vessel, review the scope with the chief engineer or superintendent, and inspect the actual condition — not the assumed one.
Itemised, transparent pricing with labour, materials, and timeline. We tell you what we will do and what we cannot do, both in writing.
Owner-led teams work in coordination with crew, class, and any third parties. Progress is reported daily; problems are surfaced immediately.
Full job reports, test certificates, and class documentation issued at completion. We remain available for any follow-up the work may require.
Twenty-five years of commercial work means familiarity with the specific systems, quirks, and survey requirements of every major vessel category operating in Greek and Mediterranean waters.
Handysize through Capesize. Hold and hatch cover work, ballast tank renewal, deck machinery.
Product, chemical, and crude oil carriers. Specialised pump room and cargo system work.
Ramp systems, stern doors, cargo deck hydraulics. Short-window dockings between sailings.
Aegean fleet support. Engine overhauls and survey work timed around seasonal schedules.
Feeder and short-sea vessels. Lashing systems, hold preparation, hatch cover renewal.
Harbour and offshore tugs, supply vessels. Towing winch and propulsion overhauls.
The following is a selection of works completed by New Wave Marine and accepted by Greece's largest shipyard — a partner of long standing. The scope spans propulsion, electrical generation, deck systems, and structural repairs across multiple vessel classes.
Whether it's a planned drydocking, a survey approaching, or a problem that just came up at anchor — send us the scope and we will respond within one working day. Out of hours, use the emergency line.
